CheSS Camp 2008 - u N i Unleashed
15-18 July

Day One

Made my way to NUS - ALONE! was a bit late because there was a jam. but many were later. anyway, my group - Upapa, house - osim. there's 9 guys, 3 gals & 4 ogls. learnt some cheers and some horny ones. haha. then went to put down our bags at KR. one room per person! the room's quite small, with one bed and a study table. quite lonely. lunched, then had SP activity 1. well, my code name is 'jill' and so my SP is 'jack'. haha. talked to him mainly abt his experience at his sports camp.

then station games & war games. war games were when we got wet. some of which were super funny and super violent. sabo-ed fred by dirtying him with soya sauce & toothpaste. haha. because we were bought by shaun into doing that to fred. then a final game where we kept throwing water bombs. dinnered then night games! it was quite interesting in the sense that we had to find straws in a field while trying to steal other groups 'lifelines' and people at our base had to protect a candle flame from being extinguished. played for a while then went to rest so was playing games with the rest of the grp.

after everything, our grp went to eat supper... where it wasnt only us but many ogs. met serene & ah ruo! was really glad to see them. walked back. slept at 3am.

Day Two - Amazing race

woke up at 7am. ate breakfast and started amazing race! our first station was at yong siew toh conservatory of music, where we had to find our next station. turned out to be chinatown, so took a bus there. were telling a lot of jokes on the bus. reached there, had to find temples and take pics of it. seriously our grp was damn slack. kept taking pics esp with zlk fred & ig. strolled up and down finding the places. then went to URA building where we stood there for quite long at the model of singapore finding our own houses. da bao-ed lunch from maxwell. then proceeded to city hall - ROM. had to dress a 'bride & groom' which were mabell & engfa. sabo-ed fred again, courtesy of shaun.

our next station was at farrer park. but we went into central to eat ice cream! sat there eating for a long time. ICE CREAM BREAK! we were informed that our next station (which was climbing) was closed because we took too long. so to the next station! bishan park! slept on the bus ride there. it felt so good! we had to fly a kite there! while the others were attempting to get the kite in the air, the rest were building a structure for throwing eggs. one person - which happened to be me - had to use the pail to catch the eggs. caught 3 outa 5. then went to the prawn farm to do prawn fishing! caught 2 only. ig ran out of patience because it took so long. haha.

then took mrt to tp. went up to the 40th floor to take pictures because the scenery was spectacular. was supp to find the RI clock tower but couldnt. haha. then went to the hawker centre to take pics as part of our task. went to the end point which was the pavilion opp kfc. entertained shaun again by surrounding these 2 girls and suddenly pointing upwards making it look like there was something in the air. which was super funny. went for dinner. then made our way back to nus. met some councilors there, including shaun who decided that he liked ig so wanted to sabo him. haha.

back to nus, were waiting for our turn for fright night. so played double wacko - with chinese names! it was really really funny. then fright night. went in with marcus. it was more shocking than scary. anyone with a weak heart would have gotten a heart attack. met reynold on the way, and went into a room that had to eat rice that was supposedly really cold and hard. reynold wanted to spit it out after coming out of the room because there was a dustbin at the side. while he was doing that, he got scared by mabell & ronald. so he spit his rice all over the floor! ended up laughing like mad. went to wait for the other grp members, saw ig jump out of his skin and screaming. haha. super funny. overall, fright night was more funny than scary. went back to sleep. slept a bit after 2am.

Day Three - Beach games/DXO @ esplanade

woke at 7.15am. after breakfast, took the bus to sentosa! and yes, there was more picture taking. first was telematch, then station games. most needed pairing and piggy-backs. ultimate frisbee was violent but the other games were fun! got thrown into the water by the guys. wanted to get wet because it was super hot. in the end mabell & cheryl got thrown in too. oh yeah. both fred and ig got dunked as well as tau pok-ed. haha. lunched, then went for another round of beach games! it was super fun... played 'wu gui wi gui tiao' with another og. and oliver beat 11 people consecutively! he became the 'wu gui wang'! haha. then some marshmallow game, where i partnered peng siang and he lost his specs in the water. but we managed to find it! the last game was a memory game where we really sabo-ed the other group. poor thing. and lastly, telematch. we had to build our own sandcastles, grp by grp and bomb other grp's sand castles. the group with the highest would win. so basically, osim, viand & manga allianced to target retro. kept bombing them. but i must say they were really good!

then washed up and made our way back to nus. by that time, we were really burnt. but really had lots of fun. changed into our clubbing clothes and went down for dinner with our SPs. my SP's name was derick... and we were sitting beside chew har & her SP who cldnt stop talking! kept laughing. after that took the bus to DXO. fred was super high on the bus and he hadnt even started drinking. anyway, mabell and lynette didnt bring their ic, so cldnt get in. had the pageant which cheryl was in, then started dancing. fred was still super high without drinking. the rest went back to sit down, leaving me, liling, oliver and fred on the dance floor.

walked to merlion park to find mabell and lynette. but cldnt so walked to marina sq. found a place to sit down and talk. fred was asking who was attached and was surprised that only one person the grp was. some were really surprising because they looked like they had gfs before. concluded that ig was a playboy/playgirl. haha! walked back to DXO to wait for the bus. was playing those stupid games on the way back. lynette was super happy that she got it. haha. was playing the location game & black magic which only oliver, peng siang and i knew. haha.

wanted to sleep, but we went to change and met at the KR lobby again to play more games after reaching nus. the girls didnt wanna play any game that had to move about, altho ig & fred were still super awake. kept wanting to do the ecstasy cheer. haha. ordered macs. and played zhong ji mi ma with bbq, sweet & sour, chili, curry sauce, coke, sprite & water. EeeWww! were playing 'stock market' with poker cards and coins, so the security guard mistook it for gambling. haha! finally got chased off by the security guard because he said it was late. so went to sleep at 4 plus. mabell cldnt get into her room because her fren was asleep and cldnt wake up. so slept in the room with me. fell asleep within 5min.

Day four

woke up at 8.15am. ate breakfast and went to lt15 for debrief and prize presentation. after everything, we walked to science block to eat lunch at megabitez cafe. cldnt finish my chicken chop, mabell cldnt finish her fries. fred said we might as well had shared. took 151 back with cheryl, peng siang, fred, oliver & ig. they were still trying to guess the location game thing. haha. chatted till all of us got down. came home to sleep!

overall, camp was not bad! shagged but quite fun, esp beach games. enjoyed myself and made new friends, friends that i will be seeing for the next 4 yrs. cheers! ~

i think i've been going out too often the past week. but i wont have time to do so after school starts!

nevertheless, stayed at home last mon & tue. got so bored after that i was so desperate to get out of the house on wed. so followed cal to ntu for her medical check up. took really long to find the place. after that we walked to the student svc centre and got lost! haha. ntu & nus seriously have a lot of stairs. so after everything, didnt wanna find a bus, so took a cab to jurong point. ate lunch and started shopping! bought a yellow shorts & 2 tops there. then went to town to meet cal's fren, grace. went shopping again, bought 2 tops fr mango, a bag (which only cost $9.90, cal bought one too), and a belt. grace was telling us abt her orientation camp and the things they made her do. had dinner, then went to ps to find a gift for both cal's and my SP. raRr... was so tired by then.

went out again on thu. simply blissful. =)

stayed at home on friday or not mom will start nagging. started packing for camp and clearing my room. met cal & wil on sat. cal wanted to buy laptop. went to see her vaio which wil and i discouraged her to buy, so went to centre point & ps to look. actually wil did all the work... while two clueless girls were just standing there and pretending to listen. did a bit (or maybe a lot) of shopping in between. decided to get an acer in the end, together with the free accessories. didnt stay to watch her purchase it, went to kovan to meet wols!! waited for all of them for the longest time. and i was starving. haha. anyway, went to grapevine to eat. and while eating, my ogl for camp called! he said to wear a green shirt on the 1st day, supposedly my house colour. and what a relief, because cal & i had bought a green tee earlier! so at least i had something green to wear.

anyway, shafik kept asking me about stuff, then i kept shooting qns to raf as well. haha. edwin came late, shafik left for timbre (damn, he knows the manager). so after eating and much chatting, we played photohunt with pics of hunks & babes. omg. haha. super perverted. after that had to go home early, so raf gave jaime, edwin and i a lift back home. missed the laughter we had before and am really glad that we met up!

sunday, after church, went to meet cal at east coast to cycle. went to eat gelare before that. we ate LF strawberry cheesecake yoghurt (cal says LF stands for 'lots of fats'). haha. cycled to one end of east coast park then cycled back, and wil hadnt arrived by then! cal was quite good at cycling alr! yay! then wil came, and cycled to the other side of east coast park. wil kept bullying cal by cutting into her lane... so i avenged her. haha. stopped to look at people wake boarding or something. so cool. after that cycled back to return the bikes. sat at macs watching cal wrap her gift then went to china town to eat dinner. cal and i were super anxious abt camp the whole day. so went home after that.

cal called me this morning while i was still asleep. understood her anxiety so talked to her before her camp started. went back to sleep after that. anyway, ah ruo has gone for camp too. and i'll be going tmr! it's my turn to get anxious and nervous, esp when i'm going alone. havent gone for camp in a long time. hopefully i'll survive it. haha. rarrR!

30June08, monday - Mine & Cal's last day at work! Worked half day, gave out presents during lunch and packed up. Aww... sad. Gave grace's and wil's present last, wanted to trick them into thinking we didnt buy anything for them. Ha. Anyway, they (or rather pao did the shopping) bought cal a top & green cardigan from bugis street, and a bag for me. Thanks!! =) Went for lunch at tp with maria, grace & wil, ate pasta mania! The perms rushed back to office, leaving cal and i to hand in our time sheets and to go shopping!

tue/wed/thu - went out everyday. mom started scolding me.

Friday - went to east coast park with wil & cal, to teach cal how to ride a bike. i cycled while watching wil support cal on the bike. She kept screaming. haha! Cycled for three hours, before changing to blading. Was tired by then, so didnt blade much. Sat with cal looking at the ns guys running. She was looking for tall, dark & handsome guys. HAHA. Went for dinner after that then went home because we were all tired.

Saturday - Went to help out with ah ruo at some event yq was organising. $60 extra to spend on! haha. So went to fort canning park. Was packing the door gifts then went to make ice kachang! Ah ruo was doing the ice shaving, while i put the toppings & the syrup (which was super super sweet). Did that the whole day. Ah ruo was telling me about her arts camp which sounded pretty fun. She kept singing all the perverted cheers. And made more ice kachang. Anyway, our dinner was one hot dog bread and french fries. Helped them pack up at the end of the day. Yq looked pretty tired, poor gal! She had so few hours of sleep. By the time we left it was past 10pm.

Sunday - Mom & Dad went out. No dinner, so i went out. =)

So yeah. I'm staying home today in order not to get scolded for going out everyday. Next week's chem & env eng camp! ~

okAy. My so called last full week at work. maria asked us to ot mon-wed. We said okay for tue & wed. Did not ot on tuesday. Instead, =). Boss and maria were not in on wed, oh yea. naturally we slacked & rebelled. Farah, cal and i were helping wil edit his assignment because his engrish was super powderful. And the 3 of us couldnt stop laughing. Farah re-did his whole conclusion, making it sound more professional and less immature. in the end, cal decided to award the 3 of us with his degree, for helping him with his english. DID NOT ot on that day either, instead cal and i went to bugis str with wil. Walked for a while, and she bought a top.

Wil drove on thu, so grace, cal and i went outside to eat lunch. Cal and i bought wanton mee and added 14 pieces of fried wan ton for everyone to share. "forced" wil to finish eight because we couldnt finish it. he looked so reluctant (but we knew he was dying inside to eat all of it). Haha. i was late for the very first time in my 5.5mths of working there. Mom's alarm clock didnt ring so by the time i woke up it was 7.50am. Took a cab from toa payoh. Went to bugis at night. This is what we ate for dinner: you tiao from dough culture, kimchi seafood pancake & crispy boneless thigh chicken from a korean stall. then we went to bugis street where i bought a pair of shoes.

Was offered a lift to work by wil on sat. Afraid that he'd get lost or something, i met him earlier only to reach the office super early! so he drove ard... and took more than 20mins to get back to the office! was a few mins later than 8.30. haha. Saved on lunch money, because of some tea party and extra food. so we were eating lunch while maria was telling us abt her dog. Wil gave cal, farah and i a lift to novena sq aft work. he was bullying cal who was sitting in the front seat on the way, which made farah and i laugh hysterically.

Walked ard novena sq & sq2 while waiting for cal to finish church, after that went to bugis street again! haha. Bought a small top & shorts, while cal didnt get anything. she was supp to be the one who was buying the shorts, but i ended up getting one instead. my feet were killing me from the walking the whole day, so went to the food court to sit and watch cal eat. talked to her till her frens came, went down to see jac!! miss her!!!

Then i left for my own night life. And i enjoyed it though i was tired. =)

Tomorrow is my last day. And a half day. Boss asked cal and i to help to cope with the morning vol of calls. Damn i hate farewells. Argh! I'm going to get emotional!~

It's my second last week at work! Cal didnt come on monday, which made the cs room pretty quiet and me, bored. Sat in the cs room during lunch reading my book. OT-ed on tue. Wed & thu =). There are always happening events on friday! Yesterday we ate lunch at the canteen in 15 mins. After that chiong-ed down to 80 Genting Lane, Ruby Industries for Ripples Warehouse sale! Had a hard time finding the outlet. But after we did, OMG! The number of slippers & flip flops! We couldnt decide which one to buy! Stood there for the longest time. $3 - 4 for one pair! (UP $9.90). Wanted one pair but didnt have my size! So in the end, bought 2 pairs for just $7! Cal bought 3, bought 2 for eil. Had one free pair because we spent $18 and above. We stood there for the longest time, and were naturally late for work.

Chiong-ed back to the office with 3 plastic bags. And met boss halfway! She was on half day, and was going to participate in GSS! HAHA! The next grp of people going for lunch also chiong-ed to the ripples sale, so everyone had a pink bag by 2pm. Ha! Best thing was, cal & i made wil carry them home. Met eil & yh at 6pm. wanted to go to fox warehouse sale! walked there, and on the way, yh came up with this plan to let cal walk by herself if she ever said to leave eil & yh to er ren shi jie. Anyway, the warehouse sale had nothing much. So cal & i went back to catch the 6.40pm shuttle.

Went to city hall to shop! walked ard raffles city while waiting for wil to go home & drive. So took our time to walk thru citilink & marina sq. Ate dinner once he came, then went to shop agn! Think he was quite bored seeing 2 girls shop. Ha. went to mango which was super crowded. Cal bought a pair of 3 quarters. Went to URS, i bought a pair of slippers (therefore making it 3 pairs). my mom said it looked aunty. Argh! haha. Cal had to work the next day, so wil drove cal & i home.

It's stay home today, because i've been seldom at home for the whole day. It's mine & cal's last week at work next week! And i'm both happy and sad. Working there for 5 and a half months is not short at all. Bahs. I hate farewells.

Came across xt's blog & was reminded of the many happy occasions we had as wols. Yes, i miss them too. And we havent had very much time to meet up this yr. In fact, i think we only met once within this year. And people were rushing back to work, while some of us were rushing for other activities. We really have no time to catch up or have fun. So much has changed. I seriously meet s15 gals & 4a2 ppl more often, which is not very often already. Wish we could just have 1 full day of fun together. ~

This week was pretty okay. Only thing was no jac & eil! miss them lots! Many of them in the office, esp grace, jamie, cal were making so much noise about how much i spent on my hair... which made me feel even worse and more heart pain! Well, grace gave me a sample of her shampoo as well as hair oil for me to try (and make my hair less dry). Jamie & cal kept asking me to buy a hair iron. Almost died not being able to wash my hair till tue. RaRr. my hair's starting to curl.

Ot-ed on monday & tue. Basically i think we did very little. Friday was hs' last day. Damn it. He came later and left earlier than me! Another has left... one less person to talk to! SAD! Anyway, wil drove grace, me and cal to novena square for lunch! Goodness, it's like the 2nd time we've been outside of the office to eat lunch! Anyway, we arrived only after half an hr because someone kept taking the wrong turns. Ate lunch at the kopitiam really quickly, but it was 1.10pm by then. Yea. we were freaking late!

Went to donut factory to buy 2 boxes of 12 donuts, one for hs' farewell gift & the other for maria. So by the time we reached back it was 1.40pm. and boss was back alr! felt so guilty, so kept answering calls. Boss didnt say anything, which made us feel worse! Oops. Very sorry! & Farewell hs! will miss you!

Left early to meet 4a2-ians at bugis. to eat steamboat! met ah ruo & serene first. and yes, they were shocked over how much i spent for my hair. waited for cel & se ying then went to seoul garden to eat! yeah. i blew 24 bucks. Anyway, kept taking a lot of meat and ah ruo and serene kept taking vege. We were so thirsty because we didnt want to pay an extra $2.99++ for drinks. So se ying went to take ice kachang ice and illegally put ice peach tea into it! HaHA! Found it so fun, we all went to try too! Se ying & cel went to take dessert super early, while the rest of us were still eating. Ate ice cream for dessert. So sinful!

YQ still hadnt arrived when we finished, so we decided to walk to city hall to meet her. Finally met her, and we went home! haha. some of us had to work the next day.. including me. But it was really fun and relaxing to meet them rather than face the daily routine of wake up, work, go home, sleep, wake up, work, go home, sleep... and also to catch up on our lives! Ry's going NUS! Will walk to her faculty in the future to have lunch with her! YaY! ~

okay this week was quite happening. firstly, cal & i stayed back really really late in the office just to do up eil & jac's farewell gift. we thought of some excuse to stay back which wouldnt arouse jac & eil's suspicion...

while on the way out of office... (i was supposedly waiting for a friend to pick me up)
CAL: ah! forgot to take my pass!
ME: aiyo... i go upstairs with you and take.

anywaY, basically wil's role was to drive us home & buy dinner for us. he helped with some glueing because he claimed he had no artistic skills. anyway, reached home at 11pm because someone took me round the whole singapore.

Met up with cal, jac, eil, yh, wk, wil on sat. to celebrate eil & jac's last day. and the suay thing was, jac & eil were working in the morning and the whole system (and i mean whole computer system) crashed so they had to stay back half an hr just to finish everything. we finally met for lunch at meridien, then went down to the cathay to watch movie. got pulled in by jac and cal to join this sms competition by LG which was launching their new phone. super malu! aft the 1st round didnt feel like going back. so sat with eil while the 2 went to take part. went up to eat ben & jerry's. wil treated, 9 scoops of ice cream! SINFUL ice cream.

and then went to watch sex and the city. gosh. seriously M18. haha. wk wanted to watch kungfu panda, and so did i. anyway, the show ended at 9+. decided not to join them in their drinking/chilling so went home.

Today, met jac and learnt that wil drove ard marina for 1 hr because the place they intended to go closed down or something. they ended up at st james, not clubbing but eating supper. lol. then they went to THAT part of geylang. heard the guys were very interested.

anyway, walked to far east and ate chicken rice for lunch. and walked ard to find a hair salon. ended up at supercuts. want to know what i did to my hair? not telling you here!! i took 3 hrs, jac took half an hr more. pretty obvious. anyway, the guy was pretty good. i love hair now. but i've also burnt a hole in my pocket. it's scimping and saving now.

went to taka. shopped a bit. then went to eat pepper lunch for dinner. jac & i couldnt stop staring at our hair. lol. kept taking pics in the toilet.

*Cries* No more eil & jac fr tmr! it's only me and cal now. no jac to take the tp bus with me, no eil's noisy-ness. i'll miss you two!! really really really much! really! but i'm envious. they dont need to work anymore!

Eventful week at work. Several things happened which caused lots of confusion, mess & scoldings. Many fell sick again but still much laughter from the things some temps do and feelings of irritation to the point that we feel like vomiting blood. Well anyway, today was okay. The usual busy busy busy in the morning after which the calls slowed down. The last half an hr was super funny because maria was telling us abt how her maid caught a bird and kept it in the house.

Went down with wil to hand in time sheet while cal went for church. Had lunch then met cal agn and went to marina sq. Got caught up at mango. Both of us were trying clothes and more clothes. Guess wil got too bored so he went out. Developed some photos then went to play pool. Been playing pool super often! And good to have someone to tell me which ball and where to hit. But got distracted by the videos in wil's iphone again. lol.

Had to leave after that cuz i had church anniversary service! Reached there quite early. Will be going to sentosa tmr! My church has apparently booked the whole palawan beach. Aint that cool?~

This weekend was rather fulfilling. I had time to both stay at home as well as go out. Met ghis on sat and walked ard bugis street. It has officially become my favourite place to shop. Ghis & i bought a different blouse each. I'd have bought shoes if we had time! Went for yiling's church event which in the end, only me, ghis & anne marie attended when most promised her that they'll be going! Some came up with the lamest excuses. Ah well. No point getting angry. Yiling played the base guitar! =) Was quite a meaningful event. Spammed the whole packet of potato chips despite still recovering from my cold.

Met cal and wil in the even on sunday to play pool. Kinda miss playing at hougang plaza.

And of course, some things arent meant to be written on blogs.

Going to chiong this week. Because my pay for the month is practically peanuts. OT pay!!! ~

Anyway, I've decided to stay on till end of june! Because finding a job for a month is seriously difficult. Well, that's only one of the reasons.

It was a PH yesterday! and you have no idea how glad we are. aNywaY, wil came to pick me right outside my house. shuang!! then drove down to suntec to meet cal. he called cal on the way with his iphone (omg he has an iphone!) and i think i used 20mins of his outgoing calls talking to cal. lol! reached suntec, met cal. the restaurant wasnt open yet, so we went to walk ard before lining up at the restaurant for lunch!

okay lunch. goodness.... the buffet was such a spread! started with the paper steamboat, then went on to attack all the other stuff. so by the time we started eating, we had at least 5 plates of food on the table. the sashimi was good, and so were the other stuff! most of the things that we didnt wanna eat we gave it to wil, whom i think got fed up and went to take his own food! haha. ate quite a lot and kept taking food. wil took one whole plate of sushi that cal and i didnt touch at all... so imagine how much he ate. lol.

then desert... we took 2 whole plates and a cup of ice cream and ended up eating less than half. took a whole lot of pictures too! anywaY, thanks ah pao for lunch! know it must have burned a hole in his pocket.

after that drove down to far east to meet suz. had a hard time finding a space to park. and it was super hot! walked ard far east for the longest time but cldnt find anything nice. kept taking the escalator up and down. think wil & suz faces were turning black. haha. finally gave up the idea of finding stuff at far east, so walked to marriott to buy the cake for eil & jac's b'day! decided on green tea tiramisu... something different from the normal black forest. then took the cake back to office to put in the fridge. yea. i know. we went back to office on a PH! no one was there anyway.

then drove down to marina to find presents. bought 2 shirts, a box & a necklace for each of them. met jeanette there! walked until our feet almost killed us, seriously. because we just cldnt decide on what to buy. and wil sprained his leg the day before so he must have been dying from all the walking. suz left, and i got so tired that went to the food court and sat down for a while before buying dinner!

after finding all the presents, went to play pool! most of the time cal & i won because wil hit the black ball into the wrong hole. and we lost because we hit the black ball in. lol! but learnt a lot from him! because cal & i didnt know where to hit most of the time. i was super tired, so was stoning while cal was trying to figure out how to hit the ball. many funny moments. pao hit my forehead with the cue stick, cal was trying to find the white ball from the bottom when it was alr on the table, and at the very last game, cal wanted to show off her pro-ness so i partnered wil, and he was the one to hit in the last black ball but chose the wrong pocket so yea. we lost. haha. cal was so happy! haha.

went home aft that. cuz we were all half dead, actually i was. sent cal home 1st, before he drove me home. he took like the longest time to get me home, because he turned when he could have gone straight to srgn but took me all the way back to tp then bishan. haha. anyway, it's still nice to have someone drive you all the way home! yay! thanks again! =)

celebrated jac & eil's b'day today. took pictures and ate the cake! apparently wil hasnt tried his bluetooth on his phone... so we were trying to figure it out on the way back home. hasnt figured out till now... so will upload next time! =)

Met up with 4a2 classmates on monday. Ry was there the earliest with serene, followed by me. We met sharon on the way to cafe cartel, where we waited long long for yq, xy & jasmine. Had a great time talking and chatting with them about all kinds of stuff. Realised different group of people love to talk about different stuff. With s15, conversation is mostly abt uni, scholarships, work & driving. With 4a2, we talk abt anything under the sun, esp with ry around. She was laughing at something... which i think most people could guess. Talked about the past and where the other classmates of ours are right now...

Because almost all of us had to work the next day (except ry) we decided to leave early. Ry & serene met one of their friends... so the rest of us were waiting for them... waited super long. Decided to 'ignore' them when they finally caught up with us. Then ry kept interrogating jasmine but her questions went totally out of point.

Anyway, thanks for the birthday present and the card! Love ya all!! =))

At work, cal's still on leave, and suz didnt come to work today! So i was all alone in the whole row which was quite depressing because by afternoon i totally had nothing much to do. And no one to talk to! Anyway, for lunch, we had free food! But we had to eat in the cs room because all the perms went for a cake cutting ceremony. The few of us decided to wear all the same colours for this week. And today happened to be pink. And it happened that not only did the 4 of us wear pink, so did boss and a few others! so almost everyone wore pink today! Ate too much potato chips and all kinds of junk food. People are sick and i think i am falling sick too. Argh! i hate every symptom of a cold! argh! ~

How come it's always a friday that everyone is not around? So many people took leave and half days that the low call volume became high. Anyway, been competing with cal & farah (who joined in our highest call competition). The only reason i got first was because cal was busy. Havent reached 90 before. But cal was short of 2 to a hundred again. Priya came back for half day ytd.. which made eil & jac really happy. Haha.

Went to meet s15 gals after work at clarke quay. Went to a ramen restaurant at central, actually there are thousands of jap restaurants at central.. so tiff, sam and i were queuing at one restaurant and lyn & anne marie were at another, waiting for the rest to come. Got a table at last for all the 10 of us! (full strength!) The topic was mostly about uni, scholarships & driving. Their experiences were really funny. Waited for ghis to finish her food as usual! Went to walk around clarke quay, to this cake shop to celebrate ghis' b'day. Supposed to celebrate anne marie's too but she left so early! Her cake was strawberry shortcake which was really pretty and good! We were discussing about a trip to hk this july... so excited! Walked around and looked for a pub/club to sit down and chat... ended up at '1nitestand'... free entry! the whole group of us sat there but only ordered 3 drinks! The people around must have been laughing at us. Tiff drank boddingtons, lyn drank san miguel and ghis, fel and i shared a lychee martini. I had to work the next day! couldnt drink much. Listened to the live band play before rushing home for work the next day!

Calls today were the normal nasty kinds on saturdays. Boss came in today. Lucky call volume wasnt high, so voicemails werent that bad either. Sat at eil's place. Chionged for the bus at 1pm. Boss thought a few of us were alighting at toa payoh but at the last min, jac & i decided to go to bugis, so we pulled wil along, leaving boss to be the only one alighting at tp! Anyway, think jac & i have gone crazy, couldnt stop laughing at wil for no reason. Kept suaning him also.

Went to pastamania to eat lunch at bugis. Thanks pao for the treat! We had chocolate banana pizza for desert... in which i pulled out all the banana. Walked ard bugis before going to bugis street! Wil left and promised to meet us 1.5hrs later. Jac & I bought a pair of shoes. The same ones, only different colours. She bought a blouse as well. After walking ard the whole bugis street, decided to go back to bugis junc, spent time at kino not reading books but to find her jin & i to find my wu zun/danson!

Then went to find a mother's day gift, bought earrings for my mom in the end! After like 2hrs, we were still waiting for wil, so we went to the arcade. Ended up playing that hitting game which made our hands so pain. Ha. And still waiting for wil to come, we asked him not to in the end, because if he did, he'd just end up driving both of us home! Took the mrt to raffles place, but realised it was crowded, so we took an mrt to marina bay and sat all the way back because our legs were dying.

After tmr, it'll be a monday again! WORK! So many people arent coming on monday again, it's always mia on mon or fri! ~

Work on Friday was a terrible mess. As mentioned, 3 people were off and the 2 new temps couldnt take that many calls. Couple with the fact that the previous day was a public holiday, which meant a higher volume of calls. So basically the only temps taking in calls were me, cal & suzanna. It was quite hectic in the morning, with queue calls reaching 10 people waiting over 10mins. There was also a higher volume of nasty ppl. And we were so busy consulting boss on those that we couldnt even take in calls in the afternoon. Cal went to check her number of calls and dragged me along. She was short of 2 to a hundred. I was quite far behind. But the 3 of us took the bulk of the calls that day, which was quite fulfilling.

Met up with s15 gals on saturday at 3pm to supposedly attend Nj's 39th college day. We somehow assumed that the 'food fair' was some sort of big thing, something like funtasia so we went early only to find out that the 'food fair' was part of the ceremony. We walked ard, saw teachers and saw the newly renovated LT5 now known as a different name. Wonder where all the students are going to have lectures? The only LT big enough for mass lecture is LT1. We sat in the hall, only to feel super extra because we were one of the very few that weren't receiving prizes. So we decided to leave. HA! Took a bus to PS, were discussing about uni and scholarships on the way. Went to meridien to have an early dinner. Korean food! Yiling left, the rest of us walked ard PS. Went to raffles city to meet mom, dad & sis. Bought a pair of jeans. Well anyway, will be meeting them next week at ikea! It's far from my office and far from home. Sobs.

Am on leave tomorrow, going for NTU scholarship interview! After hearing ghis & fel's encounters abt their medicine interview, I'm doubtful of whatever i am going to say tmr. I've received NUS' big package. Have been reading it the past few days. So much admin work to do! Will be quite busy in July, with registration and misc details about admission into uni. Apparently only anne marie & i are going to nus (yay! same faculty!). And apparently, only anne marie, me, py, lyn will be in singapore for our uni education. The rest may be going overseas... mostly to Australia. Well, all the best to those with overseas applications! ~

It's finally a PUBLIC HOLIDAY!!! Sad to say... it falls on a thursday. Anyway, I went to meet jaime, shafik, edwin, xt & raf for lunch at amk hub. We ate pepper lunch. This is the second time in the week that i've eaten it. Well anyway, my hair and clothes smelt of food after we left. Oh, thanks xt & jaime for the present! Raf had to go back to work (on a PH!!) and a few of us had our separate programmes, so we all went our separate ways after lunch. So today's meeting was rather short.

Took the train to Bugis to meet 4a2 classmates. Serene, Ry, Yq, & Xy were there. Shopped at bugis street for quite a long time. Ry & serene went to sit down because serene was sick. So xy, yq & i continued shopping. They made me buy something before we left, bought this long shirt, something like that yq was wearing and a belt to go along with it. Xy left, yq and i went to find ry & serene at mos. Serene's parents were there, as well as some of ry's friends. Serene went home to rest, so went home with ry and yq. We were wondering when we would all be able to meet as one clique and catch up with each other! So much to talk about, work, uni, and the past!

Well anyway, I still have to work tmr. Apparently, eil, wil & farah are off. Priya's taken 1 mth leave for exams. Hq & Geraldyne have left (we'll miss you!!), there's two new temps and boss has did a mass re-arrangement of seats. Going to sit beside cal now, at geraldyne's & hq's seat. I'll miss grace!!

NTU's interview is on monday. Gosh, the distance turns me off. And i'm being a bit kan-chiong and paranoid about nus uni applications that i went to check the status of my application. Have been offered Chem Eng from nus, just that i havent received the offer letter. I think my mom is equally anxious, because she went down to check letters straight away! (after working there for some time, i sometimes get paranoid that letters may get lost in the mail). Anyway, just hope i get the offer letter soon! ~

I received a letter from ntu offering Chemical & Biomolecular Engineering for admissions into uni.

I'm praying hard to receive something from nus soon. It's still quite early but receiving both from ntu has made me more nervous coupled with the fact that my mom has been asking about it everyday. Hopefully I'll be able to get my first choice for nus. Praying hard!

Anyway, boss is hiring new temps. Everyone's leaving!! The 'best' thing is, they're all girls. Seeing them going thru the cycle of listening into calls, retreiving vmails, trying to take their 1st call, screwing up really badly and becoming a pro at it is really interesting. NOT! Ha. Will be working till end of may, jac & eil are leaving 1 wk after me and cal is leaving at the end of june. 2 more saturdays of work left!! ~

monday: ot-ed with cal & wil. don't know what we were doing also.

tuesday: the last day of headache frm tp side. ot-ed with cal. we spent one hr after we logged out designing boss' b'day card.

wednesday: celebrated boss' b'day which was on tue. invited uncle sy to eat with us! haha.

thursday: had a headache after playing too much diner dash frm grace's ds. (nitendo ds is the current craze in the office)

friday: at abt 5.40pm, boss im-ed me and said "lean may, i need to talk to you. pls meet me in the orange room". which gave me quite a shock. was wondering what i did this time and whether she was going to do something to me! haha. ended up to be a trick. but i must thank them for the huge gift, which was a super huge octopus and a bear bear.

left to meet s15 girls @ bishan. yiling was away on mission trip. went to ajisen to eat ramen.. and then sat there for the longest time... before cutting the cake along with lyn and talked some more. hope to meet the rest soon!! =)

The whole lot of us who went for the chalet.

That's excluding grace & wilson who came really really really late on the 1st night with two bottles of absolut and nearly made us drunk. Eileen calls him 'sun you' now. Had a fun time with them, going to escape, playing arcade & pool, and blading. Only jac, cal and i were left on the day of check out. Some had to work. Well, all the best in army yh, wk & wjl!

Took MC on monday because i came down with a terrible terrible cold. Could not talk on tuesday. Of the few months in the cs room, i only had 4 days in which i didnt need to answer calls. My very first 3 days, and tuesday. My nose was blocked on wednesday. And i couldnt hear properly because my ear was blocked as well. Wilson and grace went over to train the temp staff over at toa payoh news centre. They were to start work and almost drove us at media centre crazy on friday and saturday because they were screwing up. But i guess we cant really blame them. Having a crash course and no system to check customers' details are really a torture.

It's just that CS is going to go crazy these 2 weeks. ~

yesterdaY night was 'fun'. (there's nothing much to talk about in the day)

raf drove and came to pick me up at my office, along with jaime and edwin. Yea! Finally a friend my age that can drive! 4 habits that he has: he accelerates real fast, he brakes real hard, he keeps horning and keeps saying tmd!! kept asking him to stop horning.

went all the way back to srgn, to edwin's house where i was flipping classifieds. raf wanted to find a job as a driver! haha. then drove to geylang to eat the punggol nasi lemak which was a bit on the expensive side.

both the guys wanted to see red light district... so they sat in front with jaime and i behind, looking like prisoners or some hostage. didnt see anything. too early. bullied edwin to sit behind agn. and kept stopping at petrol kiosks to go toilet! haha. sent jaime home, then me. finally the luxury of someone sending me almost to my doorstep!

other than that, nothing interesting. i have no life!~

The feeling of shock and disbelief is back. It's really really seriously unexpected. I'm serious. It's just like Feb 10 2006 all over again. And I can only say one thing, thank you Lord for the good results! Mom told me this morning, anything better than what you expected is the Lord's blessings. Yeah. I totally agree.

Ate lunch in school before going up to get results. Anne Marie cried when she heard she got 7 distinctions. I couldnt speak to tiff moments before my turn to get my results. And i couldnt even write my email properly or check that my documents were in order. Ms chua said congrats. And i could not believe my eyes.

Especially for GP. From an 'S' (aka a fail) in prelims to an 'A'? Who ever dreamt of getting A for gp? Only those whose english are way up there. This is clearly the Lord's blessings. But I also want to thank Ms Chen for all the guidance and help she gave esp after prelims. For all the consultations, going through the very basic stuff and staying back till odd hours just to help her students.

Congrats to S15. We did quite well as a class i guess. Anne Marie counted 19 people on the board of names listed for 3 H2 distinctions and above.

Not much of a celebration after that, just went out with fel, ghis and elaine. Py & yl went overseas. Everything hasnt sunk in yet.

Well, it's on to the next phase. NTU open house tmr! And blahs. I volunteered to work tmr. BOO!~

THEY are all getting more irritating. THEY just have to make our lives difficult and uncomfortable.
Well, whatever.

woRk today. graCe is back!! yay!! anyway, cal picked up this call frm a sub who was really really really nasty. like... ultimate nasty. heard he made another girl cry before... cursed her family etc. goodness. first he demanded another set of pps to be delivered within half an hour, then within 10mins. and wanted to speak to the senior manager or something. had to call up boss and big boss also. really freaky! the whole cs was in a fluster. because pstops were done without telling us the reason. twds the end was better. went ard trying to make people finish the donuts.

went to heartland after that. to meet felicia and min wei. they took so long! fortunately met cherina and jasmine and learnt that campcraft com was postponed to next week. so walked ard... cherina is still the same! lol. went to eat yoshi with fel and mw, then they let me go cut my hair before going bowling! went to jean yip.. cut thin. and the guy used the hot iron to straighten my hair! so now am enjoying about 24hours of straight hair, before i wash it tmr and become curly again. =)

they couldnt recognise me because of my hair. felicia called me from outside the shop. lol! then went downstairs... but i went up again to find calina, who was going for facial. let her see my straight hair!! haha. then went to join the 2 of them for bowling again. felicia's really good... she should have just joined nj bowling. i've obviously lost my skills.

went to the shop at the mrt station... min wei bought a few shirts really cheap.. felicia was rushing for church so she said every shirt was beautiful. think she took a cab all the way to expo.

good to meet up with them agn! havent seen them for really long!!

wed was totally gone. people at work: jac, eil, me, yh, wil, jamie, janice. almost died taking calls and vmails. yh almost died from finishing tnp.

thu was lonely. sat alone without the company of calina who was sick.

fri was alright. all the fluster due to timesheet. stupid sub... dont know what she was talking about.

went to hand in timesheet today with jac, cal & wk. the rest backed out at the last min. almost didnt want to hand in for them. met yili at the office!! then we went down to meridien to eat korean again. my 3rd time in 1 week. and to collect 23 FREE donuts. the person behind the counter was super bu shuang because of the 23. wk at his 3 at once, while my, jac and cal brought home our 3. the rest are to be brought to the office tmr. the 2 guys are super "yg", they ate jac & my hello panda! the bbq and cheese flavoured! they just took the whole packet and ate it all! eil couldnt finish the seaweed i gave her, so she threw it over to them. they really eat a lot.

felt super sian this week. time crawled and it virtually came to a stop in the afternoons. she's not so bad already. the other's becoming more irritating.

well anyway, wed was the 1st time i ever took the 6.05pm bus. went to city hall to meet s15 classmates! went to thai express to eat. ghis had a buffet lunch courtesy of her boss so she didnt eat. good life. anyway, as usual, we couldnt stop talking about our experiences at work. fel's was especially interesting and funny. lyn went off first, we walked ard raffles city. then went to citylink to eat dessert. ended up at gelare, 5 of us shared one choc overload ice cream... while py ate 2 of her donuts. they took turns to draw out the layout of her house... think ghis took the longest as usual. she took damn long to explain her experience in the mrt in the morning, where someone almost fainted on her. was super sleepy on the way back. nevertheless, it was really great to meet up with them.

only after we all split and meet up again that we treasure the times we had tgt, be it with sec, jc classmates or even wols. we have no time to meet up nowadays!

so many people left early on thu and fri frm work, leaving the same few of us to stay till 6.30pm. grace is going to hk today! i'll miss her!! miss asking her questions and throwing her all my difficult cases. oops. it'll only be me and cal next week. anyway, after work ytd jacynth, james and i went to cine. james didnt wanna tell us what he was doing there. in the end we almost beat him up because he made us walk all the way just to get the installation cd for an online game! -.-''' took a bus back to meridien foodcourt to eat. jac and i wanted to make james pay for our meal cuz he made us wait. he bought us the guo tie in the end. lol. ate korean. think after my trip to korea, all kimchi made here is really disgusting! haha.

we went to collect our free donuts! almost wanted to eat wilson's 4 donuts up. he gave me his coupons! lol. then walked to ps to walk ard before going home. the donuts were quite a hit at home... think all is gone except the one i reserved for myself. lol. ~

work today was alright i guess. fewer nasty subs. and only 1 abandoned english pps call!! phone was down this morning. so had to sit at wilson's place... leaving grace alone!! i missed asking her questions. and talking to her. and my place is definitely better, secluded and more private. well anyway, eileen & i were talking to yh & wk and got caught by boss. oops.

after work the rest went to sing k.. leaving emelyn, boss and i on the bus. seems like almost everyone at work has watched jumper, so emelyn and i were discussing about the movie in the bus. was talking to boss abt her 6 yr old daughter going for abacus class. reminded me of the time i had to learn it... i just used my fingers to count!

met shafik, raf, jaime & edwin at heartland. it's been many many many months since i've gone there. not much has changed. the arcade has though. edwin challenged jaime and i to that hitting game. i lost! haha. they wanted to buy toto so they were taking down our fav numbers. top prize is $10m! they were discussing what they were going to do with the money if they ever won. waited for about half an hour for edwin's bus, so i guess we got even more time to talk to one another. they were talking about going clubbing. hopefully they'll be able to book whenever.. it'll be quite fun!

those at work are going drinking tonight. didnt want to go firstly cuz i think i drank too much soju in korea last week, secondly cuz i need to lose weight from all the eating in korea and alcohol contains fats! heard the last time they went... 2 people ended up vomiting!

well anyway, it was good to meet with 5 of them today. after so long! havent seen them since b4 A's! still as crazy and up to their usual mischief. a lot of talk abt np... which i cant rmb much! seems like my memory's failing. couldnt even rmb what standard deviation was in maths stats. gave ah ruo that ??? face during vday. lol. yep. so just listened to the 3 guys talk abt np.

anyway, i bought shuang mian fei lun hai. yeah. i know i'm slow. ~

Happy Valentines day! yea yea. all the presents!! all us temps were exchanging presents. gosh, i think i need to highlight my most expensive vday present for this year. wilson bought for all of us temps those hp personalised chains... those 90 cents per letter chain. there are 9 of us, so i'm wondering how much he spent. and he gave roses too!! he's rich. anyway, 2 people took leave, another 2 took half day and another 2 took urgent leave! leaving the few of us to die taking calls. many turbo notes popped up saying "pls avail". sick of that word alr.

well anyway, after work, went to lido to wait for yq and the rest who were eating at vivo where se ying was working. couldnt have dinner with them, so had dinner at lido with wilson & james. seems like i was their 'lightbulb'. met xinyi first. and we were late for the movie! missed abt 10mins of jumper... okay. about the show. it was quite short! and the ending was so sudden... i sat there in disbelief for a while. but it's still super cool... being able to jump anywhere. but the ending's really lame. went to sit down and talk after that. we didnt have much time cuz all of us had to work the next day. so i guess we couldnt update ourselves that much. but it's still really great to meet up with them!!

Happy birthday Calina!

at about 5pm we ran out to light the candles... took quite a long time waiting for everyone to come out. and by 6 we were walking ard and playing. she received a big pink bear bear as well as a cushion. wonder how she brought it back.

have to work tmr. looking forward to one day when i dont have to work and can just stay at home the whole day. hopefully next week. =) ~

i'm back!!! from korea! yeah! from one week of cold, dryness, kimchi, steamboat & pork. yes, i dont want to experience or eat these few things for the next month or so. well anyway, besides longing for my bed, singapore's warm and moist weather, it was really fun! went to so many places that we cant even rmb all of them! the guide was good... he was previously a doctor so he had many healthy stuff to share.

must still be in the holiday mood, because i was really sleepy and blur today at work. grace almost wanted to kill me because i asked her so many questions that werent necessary. well, for pics, visit facebook! not gg to upload them here.

work has become stressful again. ARGH!~

let's talk about today. it's maddening enough. firstly, there were only 7 of us GIRLS working today. Secondly, we're not that competitive nor efficient in answering calls. thirdly, the number of calls & vmails were overwhelming. furthermore, not all 7 of us were answering calls. the result? 55 of out 210 calls were abandoned (average days can be 400 calls with only abt 15 abandoned). not only that, the number of vmails to clear were equivalent to the number over the weekend (meaning sat afterno0n/sun/mon morning). there were hundreds of non delivery cases and uncontactable vendors. probably all in holiday mood.

AND IT'S ALL HER FAULT! SHE JUST HAD TO REARRANGE ALL OF US.

grace said she's always like that. it's no wonder they cant take it. what more us temps who are just staying for a few months? anyway, today was extremely stressful, i had tons of vmails to clear in 4.5hrs, calina had to clear emails & avail at the same time, priya also, grace was handling nasty subs whom we threw to her as well as courier, leaving 3 people to answer the mountaining number of calls. longest call wait was 12mins... which we havent seen in a long time. i seriously needed help, but no one could, not that they didnt want to, but because they were all also extremely busy and stressed. eileen helped me with a few, and i'm grateful for that! the joy that we all felt was indescribable.

after that, relived to get out of the foul mood in the morning, i went down to marina sq to meet yiling and the rest! anne marie, ghis and fel were there too, along with yiling's cute little sister. catching up over lunch about what's been happening to us so far was good and it felt great to be around familiar faces and talk till your mouth's dry. yiling showed us the pics of her in canada. we walked around and played with her sister... so cute! and then ate ice cream! we couldnt stop talking because we havent met for a while. we should meet more often. envied yiling's sister because it's just so great to be so innocent with no worries whatsoever. no need to worry about exams, work, personal problems, emotions etc. anyway, had a great time with them.. hopefully able to go bai nian with them during the 15days of cny!

anyway, got a bit of a shock this morning when i realised i'm flying off tmr. havent really packed my personal items yet. dont really know what's going on. i'll miss my bed!! but still excited about it! it's been too long since i've been for a holiday. people are requesting for lots of korean food... and lots of authentic kimchi!! yay!! well anyway, it's good the have some rest from work be it school or a job. ~

yiling is back!!! YaY! missed heR! called her the moment she reached changi airport. glad that am able to meet her before i go off on sunday. or not i wont get to see her for another week!! so sad.

anyway. SHE is terribly annoying and irritating. SHE has to just come and annoy me every other day. one day i'm going to rebel. but what i really cannot stand or tolerate is HER ability to throw everything at us and go ard and chat. SHE obviously doesnt understand our generation. good luck to her kids next time. SHE demands things that are not necessary. life would be MUCH better without her. like how it was previously. How i wish i could tell HER to get lost and never come back.

No point getting any angrier... because it's a totally hopeless case.

These days friends (or is it colleagues?) have been competing at work, for the number of calls they take... pretty fun & funny people... and way crazy. their ways are pretty much different from those i've met in school, and it's interesting meeting different kinds of people. miss those school days tho.

though work is tough, the people are fun. but i'm still glad i dont need to work for the next week! i need a break. yay. looking forward to it.

if i don't make sense, it's because my eyes are closing in front of the com. zZzZz~

work is still not fun or enjoyable. the shit that you get from people everyday just makes you want to kill them or curse them. yet work still brings a lot of laughter because of the many hilarious stories that your colleagues tell. i must admit that some customers are really really nice, cant believe they're so patient with us temps. and all us temps, being the same age and same batch, have a lot in common, so there's not much disparity.

anyway, a few of us had an outing ytd. eileen helped us hand in our time sheet. wilson drove calina, jacynth, grace, emelyn, wk & yh to paragon to eat dinner at thai express. we were making so much noise in the car. we met eil & her class there. after that we somehow decided to 'chill out'... so wilson brought us to what seemed like an ulu place and really dark.. but there were many shops and pubs. we went to a pub... we shared a vodka cranberry, while grace and wilson drank beer. gosh... it was really strong. stronger than the vodka lime during post prom. calina drank sprite cuz she said she was 'driving'. naturally we turned red, wk, yh and i. jacynth wasnt! had some finger food... and i think jacynth and i went high. anyway, after one glass, i was really really really red and felt really sleepy. lol. looks like my 'jiu liang' is really bad. had lots of fun... but really cldnt take it anymore... so we all went home. in the car, jacynth and i were singing ella, ella... ha.

he dropped us at ps... we took mrt home. shared a cab with wk from srgn... too lazy to take a bus. came home and totally ko till this morning. well... all of us didnt have to work except for wilson! haha.

i finally get to wake up without the alarm ringing into my ears every morning. ~

2008, a year i finally don't need to go to school on the 2nd daY (or 3rd) of the new year!

But... wHY is it that i dread going to school when i have to, and i'd rather go back to school when i dont have to? (i'd really rather go study than go work)

I'm glad 2007 is finally over, it wasnt a very great year not only because of exams but because of some other reasons i am not about to reveal. A new year brings new hopes, dreams and more memories.

I pray that God will walk beside me as i go through 2008.
